Just like that — the final cover art for Star Wars: The High Republic has been revealed, and it’s a beauty! With the much-anticipated conclusion of the epic publishing initiative dropping this June, this cover sets the perfect stage for the grand finale.
Front and center, we see our beloved Jedi, clad in battle-ready armor, standing firm as they prepare for one last, intense showdown with the Nihil and Marchion Ro. But what truly steals the show? The mesmerizing color palette. With warm, golden hues that evoke the feeling of a sun setting on this incredible chapter of the Star Wars saga, it couldn’t be more fitting.
Here is what Charles Soule had to say to Gizmodo:
Trials of the Jedi is an epic. The stakes are as high as they could possibly get—the Jedi we’ve come to know and love are facing an impossible challenge that could end with not just the destruction of their Order, but the galaxy as a whole.
The Jedi and their allies step up to defend the light even when all around them is darkness. I wrote it to grab readers from page one and never let go. It’s intense stuff; a tale of great heroism and sacrifice.
This finale brings a whirlwind of emotions to myself — joy and sadness. While it’s bittersweet to see The High Republic era come to an end, I have so much appreciation for the incredible journey it has taken us on. The fact that we got to experience this epic story in the first place is something to be happy about!
